Oscars Hairspiration: The Messy Bun

Alright ya'll, excellent super fab exciting news. With one day less than 3 weeks to go, I finally found a hair do I love! Thank God for the Oscars because let me tell you I was having the HARDEST time finding a single picture of a hairdo I liked for the wedding, and now I have like 12 pictures of it.

Apparently every single person who had an up-do at the Oscars had either a high messy bun or a low middle parted bun with curls. Can you guess which one I liked? You guessed it, the Oscars confirmed my desire for a high, messy up-do AND now I have pics to show the hairstylist (whenever I find one). Hopefully the style looks good on me with my veil because I really love the way it looks on these beautiful women.

Zoe Saldana with an extra high bump.

Rachel McAdams looks hot, she is tied for my favorite with...

My other favorite Kristen Stewart... does she have a little braid action on the sides or just a twist? I really love this. I also like that she isn't wearing earrings because I am having a hard time finding bridey earrings that I like that aren't too hippy-dippy like most of my jewelry.

Maggie Gyllenhall's 'do looks a bit messy up close but really nice from afar.

Even though I severely dislike J.Lo and think her hair looks a BIT like she is on the way to the gym, I still think the breeziness is nice.

The biggest high bump of all here on MiCy is a little intense but still cute and playful. I don't know if I could pull this look off without my hair flopping all over the place, but I like the fun factor.

I'm so excited!!! Anyone know a good hairstylist in Palm Desert??? :)

In other random news, Jonathon and I were standing in line at Urth Cafe yesterday and Katey Sagal was in line behind us. 3 fun things about that: 1) She looked right at me and smiled, which is always a good sign 2) she is SO pretty in person, like whoa and 3) Sons of Anarchy is one of Jon's favorite shows and I think he is totally in love with her now. You go Katey!

In OTHER news, we are off today to get our MARRIAGE LICENSE!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS I AM SO EXCITED I AM GETTING MARRIED TO MY BEST FRIEND AND I AM OFFICIALLY BECOMING MRS. FORD! Woooooooo!

You're right, I love the messy bun. It'll be perfect for you. No curls need apply.

While technically there are no curls, I'm willing to bet these chignons all started out by curling the hair to add texture and avoid slippage. These are all easy diy hairstyles even if you don't find a good hairstylist, that's why I've always been a fan of the chignon (or bun).

I LOVE THOSE HAIRS! You will look soooo good with it up and away from your face. And can you quit spoting celebs and going to Urth w/o me.
