Hamsome Boy

Did you all have a lovely weekend?  It has actually been down in the 60's here in good old Central Florida (holy guacamole, can you believe that?!).  It has been SO gorgeous.  I have been in heaven with the windows open and lots of outdoor fun with my main man Teeny.

Besides being able to run errands with mom because he wouldn't roast in the car if I turned off the AC, the Brod-man and also enjoyed a beautiful 3-mile loop around Lake Baldwin this weekend.  Isn't it gorgeous there?  Kinda felt like we were out on early Spring day in Madison for an hour...

Look at that handsome hambone face.  What a sweetie.  I feel a bit horrible enjoying the fringe benefits of Hurricane Sandy as she is about to slam into our northern neighbors but here's hoping the people that needed to evacuated.  I have been glued to the news about this frankenstorm but all of my Floridian veteran co-workers think I'm just being dramatic.  I hope so!  We will see...

Blustery Weather

There's a nor-easter a blowing!  If you are in the northeast part of the US, please brace yourselves and get prepared as the weather experts say this will be a pretty hardy wind storm for you all and soon.  In the meantime, Tropical Storm Sandy has made some GORGEOUS, tropical, cool weather for us down south here in Central Florida.  Looking at my 7 day forcast was a breath of fresh air (sorry, had to!) as it feels like the first time I have seen a high in the 60's in about 2 years!  Looking forward to some beautiful weekend weather and hoping/praying the storm stays the heck out of Hungtington, WV where the fellas are this weekend.

Football Family Mid-Season 2012

Well folks, another football season is well underway.  I thought this would be a good time to check back in on the season so far.  Ever wonder what the life of a football family is like?  If you have come to visit, you probably have become intimately acquainted with the craziness that is our life during season.  My sweet handsome husband is rather tired at this point of the year but still rearing to kick some opponent ass each week.  We are currently right in the thick of the fun times.  Beautiful Florida fall weather, LOTS of baked goods, cinnamon smells and fall decor, plenty of family and friends visiting, and many hours glued to a stadium bench or tv screen.  Oh and lots of stomach aches and soar throats... not from the flu, from aggressive cheering.

If you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing a taste of the season in person, here are a few fun snapshots to show the life of a football wife mid-season.   We are pumped for the remaining games ~ Rah rah!

It starts when the tickets arrive... they are so beautiful

My most precious season ticket seat mates

Friends come to keep me company and do the Zombie Nation

UKnight for Pink Night :)

When he finally has a bye week we spend his half day off... you guessed it, watching football!  At least we did it in style, nothing like a homemade "drive-in theater" in your living room!  Teeny is mad we took his spot :)

There's lots of long days and nights for my handsome husband.  Lots of missing him and kissy face pictures

At Brighthouse Stadium if we aren't doing the Zombie Nation we are doing the Call me Maybe or the Gangnam Style.  Aims gets DOWN.

Of course, there's tailgating

Aimee rolls deep
And the hottest day of my life... I will never get used to Florida noontime football
Nor will these overheated fans

Still, we're loving it
Ready for another game!

Me and Maman cheering on the Knights!

A couple of folks I know made it on TV!  Seen all the way from Wisconsin!

Eating Around the World

While my mama was in town last week we got the opportunity to do something we have both ALWAYS wanted to do... eat, drink, laugh and take pictures all the way around the world!  My mom just so happened to be in town during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival so we spent the day together traveling the world and noming on some seriously grub food.

I have been very lucky to go to Epcot previously but never during the F&W Fest and my mom has wanted to visit since Epcot opened.  We had such a blast eating, drinking, going on rides, checking out a Gin Blossoms concert (!) and being goofballs.

If you ever have the chance to go to the F&W Fest I highly recommend it.  We weren't really sure how it worked but you basically sample small "bites and sips" from 30 - 40 food stands of different countries and cultures.  The bites are smallish portions so you can walk and eat at stand after stand and you never really feel stuffed.  We MIGHT have had a few drinks too...  During F&W there are also all kinds of cooking demonstrations and wine tastings but we just went straight for the food and drinks, no lessons necessary.  All in all it was a pretty perfect day.  For some reason blogger hates me so these photos are backwards but its sometimes fun to start with the end in mind.  My instagram photos of our Epcot adventure are also on their way soon...  ENJOY!
