Dream Get-Away

Around this time of year, most people start itching for a serious beach vacation. I am one of those people pretty much year-round. It's true, living in Florida this time of year does kind of makes me itch for a snowy vacation to a wood-fire-burning lodge in beautiful Jackson Hole. However, I am a sucker for an ocean view and palm trees any day of the week.

Extremely luckily for me and the hubs, we have plans to enjoy a dream-come-true vacation right around the corner from now in beautiful Costa Rica!!!!! Eeeeeek!!! I squeal a little every time i think about it.

We will be staying in a bit more "eco" or "local" type settings, but I couldn't help but share the gloriousness that is the Four Seasons at Peninsula Papagoya. Um, guess what? This place ACTUALLY exists. I am saving up my pennies for a one-night stay with the hubs... It could happen!!!

Yea, you read that right! I am proud to say that as of today I have been the loving writer/photographer/designer of 300+ 90 + 9 blog posts on lil old Becoming Mrs. Ford!

Congratulations to me! I'm just fabulous :)


It has not only been a roaring good time but most likely also the reason for my mental stability during our wedding planning. I am kind of blown away when I think about how much my life has changed since starting this blog, and I am so grateful to have it all to look back on as a memento of all this change.

Thank you for reading, commenting, loving on me and generally supporting me all along.

Cozy Home Library

Some inspirations just strike you and you can't escape the deluge of ideas...

This Dunhill chair from Crate and Barrel, for example, made me drool upon first sight... Then, it made me lust after a cozy home library with a fireplace. And a French Bulldog. And a cashmere throw blanket. And some hot cocoa. And a sweet sound system... Am I getting carried away?

Yea, now I am dead set on having a gloriously cozy home library to while away my hours in our next home. And I'm ready to move. I want my library.

Long story short, here's my two final design choices. I'll take either one, thanks. Just make sure you throw in a fireplace and we're all set. Oh, and don't forget my new Dunhill chair, k?

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Recently at work we all took a break from, well, working... to have a fun little pumpkin decorating contest. I just love arts and crafts hour so you KNOW i got way into it. I made a monochromatic pumpkin king with a crown of feathers and pins.


Pumpkins, pumpkins, everywhere! My little guy was the cutest. Although he didn't win any prizes he is still #1 pumpkin in my heart.


I can't wait to get our big pumpkins from the patch soon. I just love fall. Are you doing anything festive to celebrate the season?

Aimee's Marathon

One of the great perks of living in one of the MOST touristy cities in this great nation of ours, is that people have a lot of reasons to come into town. At the beginning of this month my friend Aimee came up because she was participating in the Epcot Food and Wine Half Marathon. She's a bad ass.

It was awesome for me to get have a running partner for our one warm-up mile at Lake Eola, and just to have some girl time. Having hilarious friends is one of life's greatest joys... and Aimee seriously cracks me up.

Like when we went to Little Vietnam for some Boba and were offered $15 massages. Aimee is considering this offer with serious concentration. A $15 massage doesn't seem shady at all...

Did I mention the masseuse wasn't wearing shoes? Outside?

Aims finished her marathon AND beat her own personal best. Then she got to party down with Mickey and Minnie, AND she got to hang out with me.

Magical things happen when you visit Orlando.

ESPN Tonight

The hubs' team has had some Wednesday night games last week and this week. It has been kind of great for actually getting to spend Saturday nights together. It's also neat for our family and friends who are NOT in Orlando to be able to watch the games on ESPN.

If you're bored tonight, tune in! You might just see some of this action...

Celebratory Italian Ice

Whilst taking me out for a celebratory Italian ice at Orlando's famed (and much blogged about) Jeremiah's, Jonathon was forced to take this picture of pure joy in a cup. What you are looking at ladies and gentleman is... Pumpkin Pie flavored Italian Ice.
