Good Morning Beautiful

Good Morning!

We have had such beautiful weather lately I am soaking it up before the hell of summer reigns mighty. Yesterday it was bright as the sun out and raining at the same time, so pretty. I hope you are enjoying great weather too, summer is almost here!

In other news, I am kind of in love with my new iphone, don't know if you can tell... BUT it allows me to do all matter of important things like provide you a photo tour of my morning. Every day pretty much looks the same: Drive, chai, park and listen to radio, walk to office.

Lather, rinse, repeat. Enjoy the sunshine if you've got it today!

That's What I Love About Sunday's

Whats better on a day hotter than Hades than ice cream and an icy cold movie theater?

Pretty pumped to be spending the day with the sweetest, most wonderful husband on Earth going to see the new Jane Eyre. If you haven't seen a trailer yet, take a looksie:

This version looks like it takes some serious liberties with the original story so I am excited to see how I feel about the dark creepy version of a book that I didn't really consider to be all that creepy. Mostly just looking forward to holding hands in the theater.

Hope you're enjoying the weekend and staying cool wherever you may be.

Weekend Shmeekend

OH weekend, how you tease me so. I wish I could just go hang out at the White Wolf Cafe with my honey buns this weekend, but NO we both have to work. These were the days:

You know how they say time speeds up the older you get? THEY WEREN'T JOKING. I know working so much is what's making the time fly (not having fun in this particular instance) and obviously the solution would be to not work so much, but for now I will just make the most of it. At least I get date night and am praying for a whole Sunday with my love.

It's Friday; life is good. :)

Happy Hump Day

The past few weeks have seriously been going on and on and on, just running all together. I have been so busy at work and Jonathon has been insane with Spring ball so the weeks are both whizzing and creeping by. Is that possible?

Yesterday morning I woke up thinking it was Saturday. Sadly, I was mistaken. That was crappy.

I think my brain is begging me for a vacation, stat. Speaking of which, I don't think I ever shared our anniversary trip to St. Pete on good ol' BMF. I can't believe this was exactly one month ago. WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?!

For you, a few highlights:

We took a mini road-trip to beautiful St. Pete Beach for a wonderful weekend away.

First stop, Dat's Delicatessen. It was Datzlicious. That would be french toast with berries and melted brie. Don't worry about it. They also have a super cute "artisans market" with like locally fair-traded indigenous squash butter and stuff.

Finally made it to our hotel the Post Card Inn. It was SO cute. I think the same designers of the Ace Hotels must have gotten involved because it had almost exactly the same vibe but with a beach twist. It was perfect.

St. Pete is really cutesy with little mom and pop shops. We went to dinner one night at Gigi's Italian and had some scrumptious homemade pizza. There is something about Italian by the beach that just makes my mouth happy.

He makes my mouth happy too :)

Obviously champagne was involved in this weekend, and that would be a celebratory anniversary pie I'm holding. We didn't opt for the "save your top tier and eat it a year later" thing, mostly because everyone I talked to said it was disgusting, but also because of our whole wedding cake fiasco. Let's not go there.

One of the most fun things we did was renting a scooter and cruising the strip from St. Pete to Indian Shores (which is beautiful). This part of the gulf has so much character and is just so cutesy, it was awesome.

We actually didn't spend much time at the beach because it wasn't HOT, but it was a good little stretch of sand and the water was turquoisey. We did spend a good amount of time at the pool and the beach bar. So there's that.

One of the highlights was going out for a shmancy dinner at a churrascaira from which we were later wheeled out in barrels. Can you tell food is VERY important to us?

So long St. Pete. Me love you long time.

Reason #15 to Visit Orlando

Sweet! By Good Golly Miss Holly.

I would have never gone in this place if a friend hadn't practically drooled while describing the mini cupcakes, so of course we had to try it out!

These tiny treats are really kind of perfect. They are just small enough to share and get a taste of each flavor without feeling like you want to explode and they would be a great party favor.

They have SO many different flavors including seasonal favorites but thus far we have just tried red velvet, lemon, top hat (which turned out to be like a fancy ho ho), carrot, and key lime. Guess what? They were all DELICIOUS.

Did I just make you hungry?

My First Internet

Guess what y'all?

Someone got a fancy new iPhone and that someone is moi! I am still getting used to the switch from my blackberry and I will admit the change hasn't been sooo smooth (I miss my clicking keypad and blinking red light when I have an unread message) BUT finally having an awesome camera phone and internet is well worth the adjustment phase.

It is weird that I have been an apple person my whole life and am just now switching to an iphone but I guess there was a part of me that didn't want to be one of "those" people. I made a promise to myself though to not let this thing take over my life. See... here I am enjoying nature with my new phone.

Blogging on the go, here I come. Happy Monday, hope your weekend was wonderful.
