It Must Be A Sign

I'm seeing signs! Everywhere!!!! What's happening!!! Actually, I just looove the idea of hanging romantic placards around our ceremony and reception sites. It's so literal, I know. But I think it's sweet. There has been great inspiration around the internet lately, and I thought I would throw some out there. What do you think?

We're thinking of making a "Just Married" sign like these to hang by our cake table for some cute decorations, aren't they adorable?

J and I sing "You Are My Sunshine" to each other all the time because we are extremely corny (usually we change the lyrics depending on what we are currently doing. I can picture it now... You are my husband, my only husband... ahem, sorry). Anyways! I was pretty darn excited when I saw this picture and I could steal the idea. I know she's just holding it in this pic, but it would make a good addition to a guest book table, eh?

Super cute use of photos and cards for guests to write words of wisdom on...

My flowergirl can dance herself down the aisle but I thought this was too precious, I couldn't resist.

PomLove

It seems that one of the most common ways to jazz up an interior space (according to the wedding blogs these days) is to make use of hanging poms! I likey... especially in these pretty colors called papaya and mint julip.

We will definitely need the splash of color and don't they just look so darn festive? I also really love this small simple cake with the big fat peony on top... maybe with a minty colored ribbon instead of the white-on-white designy icing?

Sweet & Simple Table Decor

This is pretty much how our reception looks in my mind currently... only add palm trees, BBQ, tons of candles and margaritas. :)

The Commune At the Ace Hotel and Swim Club

Doesn't this just make you want to throw your swimsuit on, grab a big icey drink and lie around?

The Commune is the Ace Hotel and Swim Club's event space. We went down a few weeks ago to meet with their wonderful event coordinator Erin Chaney, who has been nothing but helpful, and to check out their finished space (it was still under construction during our last visit to PS).

This would be the reception space, with an area for dancing, dining, a bar, and of course the sweet sweet lounge area,.. I think Teeny likes it!

We also checked out some of the rooms. This one had the world's most amazing shower and a patio with a firepit and lounge furniture. FUN!

The Amigo Room is bodaciously bad-ass. I dare you to describe it more accurately.

King's Highway, the restaurant at the Ace, had a very similar menu to that of the catering kitchen so we checked out as much as we could. It was yummy, even grams liked her grouper!

In case you were wondering... you are HERE, you are THERE, you are EVERYWHERE.

As dusk fell on the San Jacinto mountains, the lighting at the Ace was really spectacular!

We all cozied up for a rest at one of the communal fire-pits, don't you want some s'mores?!

The world's TEENIEST dog park! A chihauhau would be in heaven :)

The commune at night!

St. Margaret's Church

Ahhhh lovely St. Margaret's. It is purpley churchy wonderfulness. J and I enjoyed a mini-photo shoot here courtesy of mi madre... enjoy!

We tried to take pics of everything so we can show the florist and plan accordingly.

Awe, so cute. I think we'll dress up a bit more on our big day. Whatdyou think?

The Collumbarium where my gramps is...

Blue steel outside the church. He's practicing for our wedding portraits.

Thar she blows! St. Margie's in all of her sunny Palm Desert glory!
