We did not do a typical pre-marital counseling class, but rather just met with our most awesomest ever pastor Tim, also known as PT. Upon his recommended we have started reading the book Boundaries in Marriage and we both really enjoy the author's writing style. It has been important for me to spend time planning for our marriage as well as planning favors and flowers.
We tried a couple of other Christian based pre-maritalesque books and didn't really love any of them because they were preachy or poorly written or just boring, but this one has kept our attention thus far. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for some good down-to-Earth advice or guidance about their relationship.
