Mondays Were Meant for Shopping

Hey Gang,

Did you spend the weekend eating, shopping and watching football?  ME TOO.  Kind of hard to get back to reality come Monday morning... only, you don't have to!  Thank you world for Cyber Monday.

If you will be partaking in online shopping today, might I suggest Macy's (deals!), Kohls (20% off storewide and free shipping), Amazon (duh), Piper Lime (shoes 20% off, everything Banana Republic is 30% off!), and Tiny Prints for Christmas cards (30% off!).  More info here.

Please report purchases back here to homebase... unless theyre for me :)

Enjoy!

Flat Lucky

Having a job that requires traversing the country's second largest college campus on a daily basis has really done a number on my heels. Let's just say me and the local cobbler are on a first name basis. The conversation goes a little something like: "Oh, need new heel tips again? Groovy, I'd be happy to take your money on a bi-weekly basis."

It's not that I'm averse to flats, in fact I <3 them, I just can't seem to find a pair of flats that are cheap but don't look or feel it. But then again, the older I get the more I realize it's smarter to buy nice shoes than to throw away cheap pair after cheap pair.

I would buy these if spending $200 on shoes was no big thang.

And I would say see you soon cobbler and buy both of these if spending $300 on shoes was no big thang. They're perty.

But luckily the rest of these fall under my favorite four letter word: SALE! They are all still around $120 bucks, but that is a lot better than NOT on sale. I am kind of in love with the gold ones, but then again, my inner pimp rarely sees anything shiney and gold without drooling.

OMG shoes!

Summer Jelly Flats

Summer is all about reliving your best childhood lazy days. Lounging at the beach, family bbqs, the smell of Hawaiian Tropic and of course... jellies! This summer, update your fav childhood footwear to match your big-girl life with one of the following trendy choices.

Fire-engine red AND there's a bow? These will look sweet with your teeny weeny red bikini!

Jazzed up sparkley clear jellies are a grown-up girls dream slipper. Prince not included.

Go crazy for coral in more ways than one with these sea-inspired slip-ons.

Stuck in the office this summer? Sneak the fun in with the jelly version of the classic TB revas.

One-Tone Oxfords, Je T'aime

Remember back in February when I was all like, oh man these Tom's Oxfords are killing me with their springy perfectness? Yes, well, I defy you to look down at everyone's feet the next time you're in a public place and tell me how many pairs of Oxfords you spot. Then buy yourself a pair. Here's some of the cutest one-tone Oxfords the web has to offer...

Free People Patent Oxfords

For the record (I am well aware they are NOT Oxfords), I want to wear these all summer long. They're oh so Audrey Hepburn on the banks of the Seine reading a book about the Victorians AND they combine all of Spring/Summers trends into one magical pair of shoes. Beige as the new neutral, check. Jaunty splash of bold color, check (ok they come in other bold colors, back off). A wee bit of Africanspiration via crochet, check! It appears that if Oxfords aren't your thing, these Tory's here are this summer's most perfect shoe.

Shoe Wish

It's officially my favorite season here in Cali ladies... dress season! As a taller girl I strive to find adorable flats to wear with my dresses. Beyond rainbow sandals, TB revas, huaraches and chucks what else can a girl substitute for heels to wear with a springy dress? I think this pair of Tom's are freaking irresistible and would be the perfect solution.

How cute would these be with a flowery sundress, maybe a sweater or denim jacket, some cute socks even and a pair of glasses. In love...

Wouldn't these Tom's be just adorable with one of the following Pixie Market dresses? Seems like spring to me!
