Meet Baby Ashlyn

Last Tuesday my best friend Lindzee welcomed her second child Ashlyn Elizabeth into the world.  She was much smaller than her BIG brother, weighing in at just over 8 pounds (he was almost 11!).  She is a sweetie and I can't wait to snuggle her up again.  Enjoy!

Vegan Recipe's Galore

I'm not usually one to push or promote other blogs but I came across a vegan recipe blog (stay with me!) that had two recipes that looked SOOOO good and summery that I had to try them. Well, one of them. This recipe was for a frozen watermelon and matcha smoothie. I made mine without matcha (because the woman at publix looked at me like I was green when I asked if they carried it) and it was so darn tasty and refreshing that I made another one. When it tastes like. Milkshake but it's made of watermelon and bananas you can have two :)

I also made faux ice cream with peanut butter, cinnamon and frozen bananas and it was also so ridiculously good. There is just something so fresh about icy cold fruit that gets me going.

Anyhow, I highly recommend you check this site out if you are looking for something new to try this week. The sweet potato burgers look amazing.

Happy Belated Pie Week!

You guys, I can not believe I missed pie week.  This is a travesty I blame on being way too busy at work but dont you worry, I plan to celebrate this upcoming weekend so as to not have missed it completely.  If you love everything pie (like me!) including reading all about it, I suggest feasting your eyes (get it) on this right here.  Did any of you celebrate?

Oh, hello there!  It has been so long I almost forgot my password :)

Happy 4th of July!

So, my life has been insane for the last few weeks and I apologize for the lack of updates.  I started teaching another class and J has had some time off so whenever I am not at work we have been trying to soak up the Florida sunshine.  I have so many photos to share, though, and I will make it up to you today!  From a whopping two months ago, finally I have edited Jonathon's graduation photos and I am happy to be sharing a ton of them here today.

Color Run

Guess what I'm going to look like in a few months?  Super Intensely Colorful!  I'm so excited!  Have you heard of The Color Run?  It happens all over this fair nation and I am so pumped that I will be participating in one of the Florida races with my friend Aimee the athlete (who does triathalons and stuff, its no big deal).  Hopefully I can keep up :)
